Everything I offer is rooted in the places that shaped me—personally and professionally.
My Story
My path has been shaped by the guidance of ancestors, teachers, spiritual leaders, and ordinary, inspiring people whose wisdom and presence have illuminated a path towards a world with more presence, kindness, and justice.
My work is rooted in my own story. I grew up in Colombia, where I witnessed profound conflict and pain, as well as moments of deep love and connection that have left a profound imprint on my body's memory and continue to support me as I move along in my healing journey.
After losing my mom at the age of seven, a quiet grief settled into my body, shaping how I moved through the world. Her loss, growing up in a country torn by war, injustice, racism, sexism- (all the isms)- informed my decision to work with communities affected by violence and conflict in Colombia and later in the U.S. Early on I knew I wanted to be of service to help transform cyclical patterns of violence and pain into virtuous cycles of compassion, understanding and care. It has been both a beautiful and heartbreaking ride.
The Turning Point
For many years, while I was finding my place in the world and planting my seed to make it a more just and brighter place, I was also living in survival mode. A kind of exile from myself. My body learned very early on what conflict and loss feel like, and these early experiences informed my nervous system long before I had words or ways to resource myself. Then it all kicked in: a long journey with chronic pain due to endometriosis, anxiety, panic attacks, and fertility struggles.
Slowly—through therapy, meditation, body-based practices (somatics) and community—I started to find my way back in, to come home to myself. I learned that the body keeps all of our stories, and that healing happens slowly, gently, and in relationship. Against many odds, I became a mother to my son Rio—a reminder that healing is not linear, but always possible. A reminder of the power of rituals and the work with our lineage and ancestry. Becoming a mom has been the most intense, radical, and tender experience in my life, and Rio is my everyday precious master.
How I Work
After 15 years of working directly with organizations, I decided to weave these lived experiences to start my individual practice. While I am not a therapist, I bring many years of experience in trauma care work, mindfulness, and body-based practices. My sessions are tailored to your needs and are sensitive to every context. I strive to create spaces where you can soften, feel safe, be witnessed, and remember your inner wisdom.
I believe healing is not a straight line, but a returning to that innate intelligence that is fragmented when we experience pain and trauma. I’m here to walk with you as you find your way to your own rhythm, your own breath, your own belonging. I’m here to hold a warm, gentle, and kind place for that return.
PS: I am also a rock and roll and music lover. I love dancing, hiking, and spending time with my family and with people I love. Music, nature, and community have also been very important and inspiring resources in my journey back home. .
